History: Lloyd Harkins does not exactly remember his parents, but the mother is believed to be Lorelei of the Kanto Elite four, even if it is not confirmed. Lloyd’s history until age 8 is unclear, as he gained amnesia and found himself in the northern lands around Hoenn, remembering nothing save his name and the ability to speak. He befriended an eevee, and also later a lapras and swinub (although this is only out of friendship, since none of these were kept in a pokeball until later). He was later found by another traveling trainer. The other trainer brought him south with his bagon and vulpix. They stayed like this for some time, until a team snagem member snagged shelgon (formerly bagon) and (purely accidentally) killed the other trainer. Following after the member, Lloyd killed the man and retrieved the shelgon, at which it evolved, along with eevee (which turned into Glaceon) and swinub (piloswine). Later, Lloyd traveled to Orre and served as an assassin against Team Snagem. After almost killing the whole team’s HQ in Orre, Lloyd moved to Heko to pursue the new snagem leader.
Special Skills: Lloyd generally uses (similar to Koga’s Shuriken pokeball and Bruno’s nunchuck-pokeball) a Gun-type pokeball launcher that allows his pokemon to be deployed already moving and at a moment’s notice, generally having six barrels for six pokemon. He is also adept at traditional firearms and an expert marksman, having been able to defeat team snagem snipers with a revolver. He utilizes the martial arts style “Snake”, which makes him capable of seemingly attacking form all sides. His mastery of weapons is enough for him to hold his own against a pokemon. He has a strange skill at cooking and picking locks simultaneously. Due to his early years in icy lands, he can spend days on end in the ice with a T-shirt without being damaged significantly. He is, however, rather weak against hot weather.
Behavior: Lloyd, probably coincidentally, has the same mindset as Lorelei—easygoing and affable out of battle, but coldly efficient, merciless and hard as ice in battle. He will go out of his way to protect pokemon such as Lapras, Salamence and Glaceon.
Fighting Style: Lloyd’s pokemon’s fighting styles are graceful, but coldy efficient. Generally, all of his pokemon are not particularly strong or durable(with the notable exception of Lapras, Piloswine, Salamence and Ninetales), but are adept in adaption to the circumstance. Lloyd prefers to use the environment to his advantage, and so would be far weaker in a blank, featureless room then a harsher climate. Lloyd’s most powerful pokemon are his Glaceon and Salamence, neither of which are used in his gym. He prefers to disable other’s pokemon instead of simply causing them to faint. However, he usually will not hold back against Team Snagem and Rocket trainers, sometimes even shooting their pokemon or trainers before the battle is over. He is the most lenient towards team Aqua members.
Preferences in Pokemon: Lloyd generally leans towards Ice and/or dragon types, due to his upbringing and his late friend’s choice of Pokemon. However, he will use eevee of any type and go out of his way to help one. He prefers grace over power
although he has a weakness of eevolutions (evolutions of eevee, not a spelling error) and cute pokemon.
Interaction relationship with his pokemon
Glaceon: Being Lloy’ds first Pokemon, the two have an almost-telepathic bond, and Lloyd will sometimes leave Glaceon with some of Lloyd’s own Pokemon to operate separately in the case of an assassination order. Lloyd will go out of his way to help Glaceon, and she is, in turn, Jan’s main Lieutenant. Glaceon gets along very well with Salamence and Lapras, but dislikes (and yet has a grudging respect for) milotic.
Salamence: Lloyd’s surrogate pokemon, adopted from another trainer. Due to the two having met previously and Llyod having purified Salamence, Salamence is extremely loyal to Lloyd. It gets along well with Glaceon and piloswine.
Lapras: Being one of the more intelligent pokemon, Lapras is capable of speech, but rarely displays this skill. She was the second pokemon that Lloyd “caught”, and understands Glaceon’s relationship with Lloyd (Not romantic, you dolts).
Piloswine: Lloyd’s most solid pokemon, Piloswine, along with Lapras and Glaceon, were with Lloyd since the beginning, and they generally have a mutual understanding of each other. He gets along well with Salamence.
